This is an established, albeit small, critique group. Most of us are working on novels. We're hoping to add a few perceptive readers and talented writers to our circle. We operate very informally. Between meetings we trade chapters or excerpts, and when we meet, we discuss the work and give each other feedback. We are new to West Ashley and have had trouble finding a book discussion group for newcomer couples over 55 so we decided to try forming one. We are transplants from MN in our early 60's and want to find 6 to 8 couples who are avid readers like ourselves and will read and discuss a wide range of authors of both fiction and non-fiction. I think 2 meetings per month would be good unless that proves to be too often.

A chance for avid readers (and those that wish they read more) to gather together and discuss a different book each month. Each month a different member of the group will select a book and then lead the group in a discussion of that book. Our goal is to read a wide variety of books, engage in lively discussions and make wonderful friendships!
