Meet and share your favorite science fiction short stories over a hot drink and munchies. No mandatory reading required. You bring the munchies or your favorite K-cup. We will shoot for more science fiction than science fantasy but all sci-fi, even good movies, are welcome.
This is a group for anyone interested in writing, who needs a bit of inspiration, motivation and feedback from like-minded individuals. All genres are welcome, especially fiction, short stories and memoir. I started this group primarily as a way to get back into a regular writing practice. We will foster an atmosphere of creative nurturing, support and empathy as a balm on the solitary hours spent transcribing the vision. There will be coffee, sandwiches, salads and delectable pastries available …

"Cleveland Old School Roleplaying" is my attempt to bring together and connect with enthusiasts of earlier editions of Dungeons and Dragons (i.e. Advanced Dungeons and Dragons and AD&D 2nd Edition). I'm not sure how feasible this is, but I imagine a major goal of the group to be the establishment of a regular OSR campaign in a traditional Dungeons and Dragons setting, like Greyhawk or the Forgotten Realms. Aside from playing Dungeons and Dragons, a more basic goal of the group might be to simply …

Come share your love of reading and conversation! (And no penalties for not finishing the book on time either.)

Extra! Extra! It's about time to establish a writer's meet-up to serve Cleveland's Eastern burbs and the writers of Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula counties. All writing, editing, publishing, and e-publishing topics will be discussed. Come join the fun!
As writers, we sometimes need to get away from the everyday grind that monopolizes our time, energy and creativity. It helps if we can escape the "rat race" and rediscover the craft and pleasure of our writing in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. The Ohio Writers Retreats membership group was organized in 2009, to help us escape for a weekend and sometimes just a day. We'll feature, sponsor, co-sponsor and present writing retreats that offer getaway options closer to home, here in Ohio. The curre …
This is a group for all those, who like to write! All those, who would like to publish... something. All those, who have had a work hibernating in a closet, under a bed or in a drawer for months... years. Bring it out! Let's hear it! We'll listen and tell you what we hear as you awaken it from its slumber. Curious how it will be received? You'll never know until you brave the 'group listen'. It's fun! It's revealing! It's what you've been waiting for.... do it.
