Hi Fiction writers and Poets! This guild is for anyone living in Georgia who wants to develop their writer's voice through the use of practice exercises, collaborative book promotion and to also gain public awareness of Georgia talent. We have been a guild of 4 writers, 3 illustrators and 2 film makers. Now we are just focused on fiction writers and poets, so we have opened our guild to the public. We have discovered that promoting as a group gets us the most attention as writers but it is our g …
Do you write science fiction or fantasy? Space operas? Urban fantasy? Does your work cross genres, such as mystery, action, romance, or comedy? Do you want to tell a story that explores distant galaxies, magical worlds, or the wonders of your own neighborhood? We’re looking to start a genre-friendly writing group that meets in Atlanta. The group will meet biweekly to discuss the craft and business of writing and to critique each other’s work. Each meeting will be themed around a specific topic, …

While we love to read and talk about what we read, we tend to find ourselves stuck in a bit of a rut. This group is designed to tickle our literary tastebuds with a range of other genres. Open to anyone who's interested, we invite members to suggest and vote on reads and hopefully discover some new favorites along the way.
Yes, this club is for non-readers who wish they could read more, but enjoy books nonetheless. Life is busy but if the topics are of interest to you, join us for discussion. I select a book each from one of 5 or so topics each moth, and discuss intersections in thought, and how these books can help us make our lives better in real ways. This book club is also for the veracious reader, only satisfied when engaged in the pursuit of knowledge. A mind can be enlightened with the synthesis of diverse …

This group is for the "Nerdy Black Woman" who enjoys reading cerebral nonfiction and fiction books. It's for the thinker that seeks out books to challenge her worldview, broaden her horizons, teach her bittersweet lessons on the deeper meaning of life, and answer many of her existential questions. These will be books that span across all disciplines (e.g., History, Science, Politics, Psychology, Human Behavior, etc). Poorly written and poorly conceptualized books (i.e., street lit, hood novels, …
My name is Evelyn T. King - Author of the Live Believe Dream Book Series. As I wrote my last two books I realized I had a responsibility to share my experience and to help others to start and finish their writing projects.
We are a smaller book club that meets monthly. We read fiction and non-fiction and have vegetarian-friendly dinners at meetings. Our members come from all walks of life. The things we have in common are that we like to read, have thoughtful discussions, and eat! It's OK to come to the meetings even if you didn't like the book or couldn't finish the book. Also, you don't have to be vegetarian to join, and this group is NOT designed as a forum for reading/discussing books about vegetarianism.

Off-Beat R.E.A.D. (Read, Eat And Discuss) is Atlanta's Bookclub/Discussion Group for those that like books and discussions that are slightly...well, off-beat. There's no dress code or hidden agenda - just good times, and books. If you're into that sort of thing - join us! There are no "rules", per se, just a …

We meet at 6:30pm on the first Friday of the month at the Panera Bread on Lawrenceville-Suwanee (911 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd). We have a facebook group at gwinnettfeministreaders@groups.f
