We are a smaller book club that meets monthly. We read fiction and non-fiction and have vegetarian-friendly dinners at meetings. Our members come from all walks of life. The things we have in common are that we like to read, have thoughtful discussions, and eat! It's OK to come to the meetings even if you didn't like the book or couldn't finish the book. This is a different form of writing workshop in which you share your projects in a safe and confidential environment, but there is some instruction and exercises offered so as to make your writing find its power. It is a program divided into sessions that focus on each stage of the writing process with invaluable information that will help to demystify the world of publishing.

I teach M-Th and have many family obligations evenings and weekends. I would love to meet up with folks for a morning book club. We'll meet one Friday morning a month at an East Cobb restaurant for brunch and a book chat. Titles a bit more sophisticated than Harlequin Romances (not that there's anything wrong with that!) but not so complex and "heady" that your brain has to hurt while reading it.
