While we love to read and talk about what we read, we tend to find ourselves stuck in a bit of a rut. This group is designed to tickle our literary tastebuds with a range of other genres. Open to anyone who's interested, we invite members to suggest and vote on reads and hopefully discover some new favorites along the way.
Founded in 2010, the Buford Book Club focuses on discussing a wide variety of books. Since many of our members work, we try to keep things simple by meeting in public places instead of in homes. We occasionally change the venue to make it convenient for everyone at some point during the year because some members come from 20 miles away. Our purpose is to foster the love of reading, expand reading genres, and gain insight from learning from others. You should join if you love books, meeting …

For those of us who love to read the Young Adult genre and want to spend it with others and rant and rave or maybe even complain about the books we are reading or want to read. Age 20+. We are a group looking for the older lovers of this genre. As exciting as it sounds to sit around with a bunch of high school students or younger to talk about these books...I'm kidding. These books are a guilty pleasure for us for whatever reason. Whether we are getting lost in Jennifer Armentrout's cover models …
Yes, this club is for non-readers who wish they could read more, but enjoy books nonetheless. Life is busy but if the topics are of interest to you, join us for discussion. I select a book each from one of 5 or so topics each moth, and discuss intersections in thought, and how these books can help us make our lives better in real ways. This book club is also for the veracious reader, only satisfied when engaged in the pursuit of knowledge. A mind can be enlightened with the synthesis of diverse …

We are a smaller book club that meets monthly. We read fiction and non-fiction and have vegetarian-friendly dinners at meetings. Our members come from all walks of life. The things we have in common are that we like to read, have thoughtful discussions, and eat! It's OK to come to the meetings even if you didn't like the book or couldn't finish the book. Also, you don't have to be vegetarian to join, and this group is NOT designed as a forum for reading/discussing books about vegetarianism.

We are a group of geeky women in our in the Gwinnett/Mall of Georgia area. This is for friendship with similar minded geek girls to get together, chat, do things, who knows? I teach M-Th and have many family obligations evenings and weekends. I would love to meet up with folks for a morning book club. We'll meet one Friday morning a month at an East Cobb restaurant for brunch and a book chat. Titles a bit more sophisticated than Harlequin Romances (not that there's anything wrong with that!) but not so complex and "heady" that your brain has to hurt while reading it. Members will be encouraged to take turns selecting books and restaurants.
I've always wished that I majored in Women's Studies, but I figure this group will help me (us) become more familiar with feminist theory/literature. We meet at 6:30pm on the first Friday of the month at the Panera Bread on Lawrenceville-Suwanee (911 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Rd). We have a facebook group at gwinnettfeministreaders@groups.f
