This is a workshop for a group of Long Island fiction writers, who get together once-a-month to critique each others work. Writers mostly write. Besides writing, the second most important act is submitting. I'd like to meet once a month with a group of writers who are submitting their work.  During this meeting we can exchange ideas about motivation, where to submit certain kinds of work and the mechanics of submitting material. We can map out strategies for submitting work and make committments to the group about the process.

An ongoing group of writers that meets every Monday night at a restaurant in White Plains. Two people submit every week and the group reviews their work and discusses it at the meeting. Meetings are usually two hours. A writer will on average submit once a month. Before being admitted to the group, we require a writing sample. Any representative work will be fine.  It doesn't have to be long.

We are a relatively new book club for twenty-somethings & thirty-somethings.  We meet in the Book Revue in Huntington each month, and we usually use polls to determine that month's book selection.
