This is a laid-back, relaxed and fun book club. We meet hold meetings twice a month, one fiction and one nonfiction. The responsibility of choosing the titles rests with the group members. We read anything... fiction, nonfiction, new releases, classics, whatever. In addition to two monthly meetings, we also meet occasionally for happy hour and/or dinner. I love all kinds of books, but especially Science Fiction and Fantasy. When I finish a really good book, I love to be able to discuss some of the ideas the author introduced, check my understanding of some of the plot twists and character development, and generally just say how much I liked or hated the book. Pasadena Book Chicks is a book club for women (mainly in their 20s and 30s) residing in the San Gabriel Valley area.
